About Us

We are a family-owned business on a mission:
to bridge communication gaps!
The Villahermosa Family
Welcome to our Interpreting Agency!
At our family-owned and operated business nestled in the heart of the Treasure Valley, we strive to bridge communication gaps with warmth, professionalism, excellence, integrity and a personal touch. Meet the faces behind the agency: Gabriel and Barbra, along with our three children—Olivia Dove, Nehemiah Praise, and Jubilee Joy—form the heart of our enterprise. And our beloved furry companion, Maggie Mae Evangeline, a mini golden doodle who adds much joy to our lives.
Gabriel's journey into the world of interpreting began early, growing up in a Puerto Rican household where Spanish was the language of love. His passion for languages led him around the globe until he found his calling whilst immersed within the vibrant Deaf community. Inspired by the beauty of Deaf culture and sign language, Gabriel obtained his Bachelor's Degree in American Sign Language and Interpreting at Liberty University. Today, he is a sought-after American Sign Language Interpreter, dedicated to facilitating meaningful connections for the Deaf community.
As for me, Barbra, I bring a wealth of experience from my career as a Pediatric Registered Nurse, serving at the same Children's Hospital and Health Center for fifteen rewarding years. My journey with American Sign Language began in high school, where I received three years of ASL instruction. I've found immense fulfillment in applying my language and administrative skills to our agency's mission of fostering understanding and communication.
When we're not managing our business or chasing after our little ones, you'll often find us immersed in worship at our church or savoring the moment at our Puerto Rican family gatherings. We cherish every opportunity to celebrate life's moments with those we hold dear.
We're thrilled to have you join us on this journey of connection through communication. Whether you're in need of interpreting services or seeking to enhance accessibility within your community, we're here to partner with you every step of the way. Welcome to our family—we can't wait to champion you!
Warm regards,
The Villahermosa Family

Miguel & Keely Villahermosa
RESIDENT CHAPLAINS
Miguel A. Villahermosa Sr. brings a wealth of experience and a profound sense of peace to his role as a chaplain. Recently retired, Miguel's career spanned forty years in education with Tacoma Public Schools, with a focus on safety and security. He eventually worked as Director of Middle School Education and Director of Secondary Education. In addition to his professional achievements, Miguel Sr. has a deep commitment to spiritual guidance as a chaplain.
Keely Villahermosa’s commitment to spiritual growth and community support shines through her compassionate writings and teachings. Emphasizing her deep faith and personal journey as a wife, mother, and chaplain, Keely draws parallels from biblical stories, such as Joseph's resilience despite adversity, to encourage others in their faith journeys. Keely’s approach to life's challenges is grounded in her belief that faith, when practiced daily, leads to righteousness and peace.
Married for over four decades, Miguel and Keely Villahermosa are passionate about helping couples and families flourish. They have a big Puerto Rican family with three children and nine grandchildren, enjoying a culture of joy, music, and dancing. They host a house ministry in Idaho and love worshiping with their community band. Together, they teach others how to thrive during hardship, sharing their experiences of faith and resilience.
Together, Miguel Sr. and Keely Villahermosa offer a unique blend of spiritual guidance and personal experience to Champion Interpreting Services. Their journey through personal challenges has strengthened their resolve to support others facing similar trials. Through their training with the Police & Fire Chaplain Training Academy, Miguel and Keely are dedicated to providing emotional and spiritual support to our interpreters, helping them navigate vicarious trauma and maintain their mental health.
We are honored to have Miguel Sr. and Keely volunteer their services, offering our interpreters a compassionate and understanding resource in the midst of the challenges that many types of interpretation work can bring. Their story is a testament to the power of faith, community, and resilience in overcoming life's challenges.
Haley Taylor
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Haley came to Champion Interpreting Services at the end of her eight year career as a National Board Certified middle and high school Spanish teacher in Washington state. Teaching is a God-given calling for Haley, but in this season God has led her to new work as the Tracker Of All Things for the Champion team. Through the course of her teaching work she acquired a wide breadth of skills, from web design, to data analysis, to creepily being able to track exactly what dozens of people are working on at any given moment. These skills turned out to be exactly what Gabe and Barb needed to further the development of Champion.
Haley does suffer from not being a Villahermosa, but she is sort of a Villahermosa twice removed, having married Miles Taylor, a long-time family friend of Gabe’s. Miles and Haley live in Washington with their selectively friendly dog, Winston, and their exceedingly giggly toddler, August. They hope to one day have an awkward family worship band, or maybe host extended family board game tournaments.
As the Operations Manager for Champion, Haley does a little bit of everything, but her favorite thing to do is make boring and confusing documents look pretty and read clearly. She has 37 tabs open on her computer at all times, and at least eight of them are spreadsheets. She does her work in and around her son’s naps, in true Family-Owned Business style. Fun fact: she designed most of this website one handed while August slept on her as a newborn.
